And why it might matter to your family, too.

There's a lot I didn't know when I started this journey. I thought photography was about stillness. About posing just right. About waiting for the "perfect" shot.

But then I became a mom to three boys. All three of them have autism. And suddenly, the lens shifted.

They taught me how to see differently.

My boys don't "sit still."They don't always look at the camera. They stim. They flap. They giggle mid-meltdown and cry mid-hug. They feel big and express it in ways that don't always make sense to others. But to me? It's beautiful. It's them.

And thats what I want every family I photograph to know: You don't need to be "camera ready" to be worthy of being remembered.

They taught me that presence matters more than perfection.

The in-between moments; those are the ones I chase. The split second when your child wraps their arms around you unexpectedly. The way they twist their fingers in your sleeve when they're unsure. The moment their eyes light uo because you remembered to bring their favorite toy or let them wear their headphones.

Those moments don't happen in perfect light or perfect poses. They happen when we make space for kids to just be. No pressure. No timeline. No expectations.

They taught me that photography is about honoring the truth.

Every child, every person, deserves to be seen as they are.

Not airbrushed. Not corrected. Not styled into someone else's version of beautiful. Just seen.

That's how I approach every session, whether I'm photographing a family like mine, a newly engaged couple, or a mother reclaiming her sense of self.

To the parent worried their child won't "cooperate"

I see you.

You don't have to apologize. Ypu don't have to explain. I've lived that life. I still live it. And it's one of the reasons I do what I do.

So come as you are. Bring your snacks. Your stim toys. Your mess. Your joy. Your real life.

That's what I'm here to capture.

Ready when you are.

If this feels like the kind of experience your family needs, I'd love to connect. My sessions are gentle, sensory-aware, and designed with families like yours in mind.
